I am working for a MNC and I got L1 visa stamped. After marriage I got my H4 visa stamped.(After L1 stamping) But the Visa officials have not marked the L1 visa cancelled in the passport, does it mean that the Visa is still valid? Does that mean that i can still travel on my L1 visa?

I was scheduled for Infopass today and found out the alien number assigned to my I-485 application is not the one mentioned in I-140 and belongs to somebody else in florida. I called NSC and they processed the service request and told me to wait for 45 days. I talked to NSC directly and without checking my application details, the officer tried to assure me that it is something that they will be able to fix when they will adjudicate my case. My EAD and fingerprinting were cleared under the wrong alien number and my lawyer told me that the alien number is assigned by USCIS. I will check my documents to find out if they did that mistake.

Anyone else got in similar situation or know about someone with the same issue?

I have approved I-140 (PD Sep,2007) but recently my H1 extension was denied so had to come on H4, so now what will happen to my GC, do I have to start from scratch OR my I-140 is still valid once I come back on H1 (with different employer).

Can i cancel appoinment one day before.
I saw in www.vfs-usa.co.in website ,have to cancel before two working days of appointment day.
If i cancel appointmentafter few days will i have to fill again DS156,157 forms for appointment.
In website they said cant cancel appointment 2 times.After 2 times cancelation have to wait 90 days with that hdfc barcode.
Before 90 days period can we fix new appoinment by paying agian into HDFC bank.Is this possible new appointment with new barcode.

I am right now on L1A visa recently filed for extension and still in processing.

I am planning to get married to my girlfriend here and apply for greencard.

Would appreciate information on how to proceed with that and wheather the L1 extension would affect it in anyway.

Hello Folks,

I received a code 2 notice for I765 but i dont have my passport as it was sent to renewal. Eventhough FP Notice says ID card should be one of Alien Card / Drivers license , passport, State issued card my experience earlier says ASC only accepts Passport. Will they accept EAD Card etc as ID ? Any experience different than this ? Please post.

Btw this is my third time i am renewing for EAD.

Please advice.

I gave first FP on 9/28 and lat month I took info pass and the officer raised a SR for non delivery of cards to which I got a reply that my card might have lost in mail. I called USCIS who mentioned that my card was never created and now it will be created. Now my online status changes mentioning that I have been sent FP notice again. I called uscis again and mentioned that I already gave biometrics

The officer said it was erroneous so ignore the FP notice and he will be requesting CPO for me. I even called FBI FP line today to confirm that my first FP was fine and they said it was fine and uploaded

I need an advice.

Last year, I petitioned for my husband to get his green card and I was in a rush to get the application in before the application fee shot up, so I forgot to make copies of all the documents being sent to USCIS. Now, the interview is next week and I don't have a few of the documents that they want us to bring. It says that if already submitted, I don't have to bring in those documents, but I've heard that sometimes the interviewers still demands them during the interview.

Is there any way of getting the documents from USCIS or is it lost forever?

We will have the interview next Thursday, 21st of February.

Hi,

I had visited US for 6months in 2005 on H1B visa and currently my H1B is expired( Expired in Jun 2007). Now, I am in US on H4 visa. Can anyone please let me know is it possible to renew expired H1B now? If so, what is the procedure for the same?

Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.

That would have to be in the form of COS., and I think that counts towards the cap, am not 100% though.
