Kudos to USCIS though for keeping themselves employed. They have made such a mess of what could be a simple immigration planning process, by introducing layers upon layers of groupings, arbitrary allocation number limits and what not. A similar but perhaps even more complicated rocket science mess exists in another govt entity - the IRS.

Hi ,
We applied I-485 in july and still waiting for receipt number. Also My wifes H4 visa expires on July 30 and her I-539 is pending. Can we use GC pending status to get driving license by showing the EAC receipt number ???

Jumbo loans are not getting approved for EAD status. Banks are rejecting Jumbo loans (> 417K) if your immigration status is EAD or AOS. I don't have any idea about normal loans (< 417K). But banks are giving Jumbo loans if the status is H-1B.
But noone is rejecting loan, if your down payment is 20% of the value of the home.

i seriously doubt uscis will be slow in ead applications atleast not more than 6 mths. Reason:
1. there will be 500,000 applicants that will become out of status and uscis will be in news again
2. it helps them to get the $340 from you forever
So they will hire contractors to issues this.

On page 10 of this thread you can see my other entry.
I got my receipt numbers on March 14th.
I immediately called customer service to figure out what my options are.
They inoltrated a request to expedite and gave me a WTCxxxxxxxxx confirmation number (similar to what happened to watertown).
I read the various forums and I cannot find any other example of this WTC confirmation numbers.
Are there other people that requested to expedite AP through the phone and got a WTCxxx number?
What is your experience with this method?

I am happy to send out this letter. Have done this before but I wanted to know if IV core supports our efforts in sending this letter. Please pardon me, I am not trying to qs the validity of this letter or anything else with this but I haven't heard or read anything from IV core regarding the EB-3 I plight and their course of action (again excuse me if I have misjudged). I would like to hear from IV core on this. Thanks again.

One interesting thing from the anti-immigrant community represented by Steve King in this testimony was when he asked the Visa Division Chief, that -How many immigrants have we admitted to the United States between 1992-2006 who were refugees and asylees, that were not counted in the annual numerical limit? So, he basically wants to overwrite the Visa Recapture bill, by saying that since we admitted 'refugees and asylees' which were outside the limit, then there is no need to recapture unused visas, since those unused numbers have already been offset by refugees and asylees.

First, the whole concept of donor based organisation is so stupid.
I mean really stupid.
If the donor based thing is ON, the future of IV is not good.
Yeah, IV does good work by talking to people all around, from different stratas of lawmaking and what not.
but get real, look around guys, information is everywhere, not only here. and you are working for the greater good of the community, only donors are not going to be benefitting from this.
Instead of making donor based posts, have a FOIA kinda drive every now and then.

I have a suggestion! I don't think forcing monthly $25 contribution to keep donor status alive is a very good idea, especially in current economy. Take an example of myself. It is decided that I am going to loose job on 17th March, may not be able to contribute every month.

EB2-I PD announcement, which is a black hole coincided with CERN Big Bang Machine. After watching History Channel (they explained details, how this CERN Colloider can create dark matters and black hole) in mid night, PD announcment turned morning bad.

The online status for my wife's AP shows "document mailed" but mine still says case received and pending. I'm the primary applicant and we mailed our applications same day. Below is my filing information.
Anybody notice same kind of behaviour where spouse's AP application is approved and primary is still waiting????

The funny thing is,that as with EAD card,in a day after I subscribed for e-mail update with USCIS they send me e-mail that my AP and family members have been mailed.
