The reversal that they are talking about is the July02 bulletin that said that they will not be accepting any applications as for the bulletin that came out in June for the Month of July (where the PD's were current). Nothing to worry about. Relax and continue with your filings. :)

how is travel and job change related to eb2 movement.
Even if you were current what is the guarantee to that you will get your GC soon.
Rely on AC21 for job change and AP/H1B for travel.

Folks,
We move and my wife and I did an online AR11 and ONLINE I-485 Mailing address change using USCIS website yesterday.
My wife got an automatic email confirmation that her I-485 Mailing Address is changed and we even see the LUD is changed as well
but I didnot get any email confirmation of the address change of I-485 neither I see any LUD change.
1. What should I do? Call CIS?
2. How long does it take to update Mailing Address on I-485 when changing the mailing address online after Online AR-11 submission?
Please advise

Maybe the 60 Minutes story from a few months ago is making a difference. DHS finally agreed today to show some humanity and not proceed for two year with deporting widows and widowers of US citizens (often American soldiers who die in combat) who only were denied green cards because their spouses died before USCIS could finish processing their cases. The courts have not been consistent in their rulings and it is going to take the US Supreme Court settling the matter (or DHS backing down). Hopefully, this marks the end of USCIS' rabid pursuit of a population that deserves...

Gurus, I am on H-1B visa doing a project with 'abc' client who is the client of 'X' company and pays to my H-1B employer 'Y', I get paid from 'Y'. I started on this project on H-1B visa but now I have EAD(spouse of primary applicant) and want to change my status to EAD. The X company says that they have non compete agreement with Y company(my employer) and can't bring me on board unless I get email from my employer stating they have no objection me moving to EAD. My employer is not ready to give me that email(for obvious reasons.. after all it is a desi employer).
I want to find out if there is a way out..also I never signed any agreement with my employer..in fact I don't even have a copy of offer letter. The only agreement I have is with X company that I can't go back to the same client for one year, the day I end this project. I am based in Boston MA.

Do you know how long it takes for the SWA order to be posted after a job order has been requested with the SWA?
Is it immediate or does it take some time for the SWA to process the job order and then post it?
Also do you know where we can see the job order after it has been posted? Is there a public site where we can see the jobs?
Any response is greatly appreciated, especially if you know about mass.

Hi All,
I am sure this has been discussed in detail before but I couldn't find the related threads..So i am posting it again..Sorry for the spam..
My wife converted from H4 to H1 last year (H1 started Oct 2007). She has been working for the H1 sponsoring employer since 10/1/2007...She plans to take a break now and relax for a few months for personal reasons...Can we update the I-9 form with her EAD info and work for a few days and then take a break...I know by doing this she will lose her H1 status but we are fine with that as she will be using her EAD moving forward...I am a July 2nd filer with 140 approved, so I dont see any risk in my I-485 as it is a pretty straightforward case...Have been with only 1 employer since Jan 2001 with PD: Nov, 2003 EB-3 India.
I just wanted to check if this is ok...Any thing that we need to look into before changing the I-9 to EAD....

I suggest that we all get together to discuss how we can help the effort that immigration voice has undertaken. I did attend an IV meeting in NoVa a few weeks ago, I am keen on pushing an initiative of meeting periodically to discuss how we can collectively help our cause on this side of the river.
Send me an PM to express your interest and I will send out an email with further information.
If the MD state chapter is already having meetings, please ignore this message; but some one please send me the information on when these meetings take place.
Also let me know what you all think of this proposal?
